This restaurant seems like it used to be an Italian place, and it’s now under new management/ownership. There is a sizable parking lot, and a bus not too far. The entrance is a bit confusing. Once inside, the place seems huge. There is a bar area, at least three dining room areas, and other space. I went in July 2016 with my friend Chris, and we were seated in the back-most dining area — which was the most well-lit as opposed to the dim lighting of the more club-like parts of the place. I had to edit all these photos though — they were taken on a phone, which already means bad quality, but the place lives up to its name. Everything looked very purple — this is *after* I tried to filter out the purple.
Definitely plan to come again, especially since the place is just getting up and running!
And here are our injera rolls.
This is the pile of kitfo — they at first said they might not have it, but would check, but it turned out they did, so I enjoyed, thoroughly. Very spicy. There is also more mitmita on the side in a little dish to make it even spicier.
This is the vegetarian combination — it had a number of things neither of us were used to seeing on the plate, including what appear to be beets, plus the hardboiled egg in the wot that’s usually with doro wot. The other things on the place are kik alicha, gomen, and yemesir wot.
